BourneDeck is a versatile, clear span car park frame solution ideally suited to car parks designed on a 16 metre by 4.8 metre, 7.2 or 9.6 column grid. Intended for spans up to 5.5 metres and live loads of up to 5.0kN/m2, BourneDeck can be rapidly installed with no need for auxiliary supports during concrete pouring.
The BourneDeck system employs unique steel supporting cleats, welded to the upper flange of the supporting beams. These enable the deck to sit within the depth of the long span floor beams and contribute to a shallow overall construction depth (beam and floor slab) of around 670mm.
The composite floor slab requires less concrete depth, producing a deadweight up to 40% less than traditional car park floors. The BourneDeck profile also has a high resistance to bending, which contributes to a more effective transmission of loads at all stages of construction, reducing the amount of reinforced mesh required.
BourneDeck's versatility allows for multiple phase construction and partial usage of finished phases, minimising disruption to existing car park spaces.
